In February, our Contemporary dancers were invited to perform ‘One Last Shift’ as part of the 10 year celebrations of Go Dance 17 at The Theatre Royal, Glasgow.
One Last Shift is based on events that happened in Glasgow’s Templeton Carpet Factory. Templeton’s was world-renowned, supplying carpets to palaces, state homes, luxury liners and domestic homes, however it also had its share of disaster. The piece tells the story of one such tragedy when a fire ripped through the building killing many of its young workers.
The dancers performed beautifully opening the 2nd act of the show and were praised by audience members and theatre staff on their professionalism and performance skills. We are all incredibly proud of how they conducted themselves backstage, took control of the stage and had the audience in the palm of their hands.
